Wine Makers Notes: Our Désirée Chocolate Dessert Wine is crafted in a rich, tawny port style with heady, dark fruit and enticing chocolate character. On the nose, chocolate, vanilla and coconut aromas swirl around a rich fruit core, spilling forward through the senses and across the palate. Seductive and smooth, this wine borrows its name from the deep emotion it elicits: desire.
Sniffy Sniff: This wine was so cool. It spelled like raspberry chocolate, with some hints of vanilla and the sweetness of coconut. And of course you could smell the brandy, but the chocolate aroma was the most prevalent.

Slurppy Slurp: Sweet! Brandy! Chocolaty, caramel syrup. You couldn't taste much fruit through the syrupy chocolatey, brandy goodness.

Pairing this wine with some milk chocolate was a great idea. It took some of the syrupy-ness away and allowed some of the fruity components to come through. It tasted like chocolate, raspberry brandy.

Not a wine I could drink very much of but it does seem like it would make a great dessert, maybe it would even go well with some vanilla ice cream! YUM!
