Wine Makers Notes:
An intense, inky red, the Nero d’Avola seductively reveals a gorgeous perfume of blackberry liqueur, white flowers, vanilla, and a hint of figs delivered in a leather basket. On the palate, this wine is opulent, full-bodied, and viscous, with a great intensity, superb purity, and a layered, seamless personality that would convince most tasters that this is New World personified.
This wine is the perfect à accompaniment to hearty stews and roasted lamb and beef.

Sniffy Sniff: The aroma was primarily black plums with some subtle spice.
Slurppy Slurp: This wine tasted like spices mixed with black fruits (which I am not a fan of) and was pretty tart and acidic, with some tannins. It had small kick to it.
Again having this wine with some parmesan cheese, it was a completely different wine. It was way less harsh and more of the fruit could shine through. It completely got rid of the peppery spicy flavor that I taste in almost all red wines.
